Missing teeth can cause a number of dental problems, and may increase your risk for gum disease and tooth decay. As soon as you lose a tooth, the basic structures of your jaw begin to change; your remaining teeth start to shift into the gap, and your jawbone begins to deteriorate. By replacing your tooth as soon as you lose it, you can maintain the full function and health of your jaw. Dental implants are titanium posts surgically implanted in the jaw to support dental crowns, bridges, or dentures. After having your implants surgically placed by an oral surgeon, Drs. Cicero and Kenyon can restore the implant using a strong, natural-looking crown, bridge, or denture.
For the small imperfection in your smile, ask our doctors about dental bonding. This treatment requires an artistic eye to apply the bonding material to your teeth for an improvement in shape, length, spacing, and structure. Whether used alone or in conjunction with other cosmetic or restorative dentistry treatments, dental bonding can put the finishing touch on your beautiful smile. The bonding material we use at C&K Dental Boutique is incredibly durable, and tooth-colored, for the best structural and aesthetic results.
Cracked, chipped, broken, or decaying teeth can worsen over time, increasing your risk for tooth loss. Dental crowns are durable dental prosthetics made of porcelain that can cap a treated tooth or restore dental implants for a stronger, more complete smile. These tooth-colored restorations can also provide a cosmetic improvement, making your teeth look whiter, straighter, and healthier. Dr. Cicero and Kenyon’s attention to detail and artistic accuracy will optimize your results and give you a second chance at a great-looking and healthy smile.
Thanks to modern advancements in dentistry, you no longer have to live with ill-fitting dentures, messy adhesives, and the worry that your false teeth may slip out. Whether your dentures are removable or implant-supported, C&K Dental Boutique uses the highest quality material to make your smile look natural, function normally, and feel comfortable.
Today, endodontic or root canal treatment is comfortable, effective and efficient. At C&K Dental Boutique we can assure you that fixing your damaged tooth will be a relaxing and painless experience. Endodontic treatment is necessary when the pulp of your tooth becomes infected or inflamed. On the day of your treatment, we will administer anesthetic to ensure your comfort, remove the affected pulp, and replace it with filler that will reduce your tooth’s sensitivity and preserve its outer structure.
In the past, treating cavities meant metal fillings that were unsightly and sometimes uncomfortable. Today, you can improve the health and structure of your teeth with tooth-colored fillings. Made with strong, long-lasting composite material, these fillings can protect your teeth from further damage. Tooth-colored fillings react to changing temperatures at the same rate as your teeth, eliminating the sensitivity often experienced with metal fillings. After the affected portions of your tooth have been removed, Dr. Cicero or Dr. Kenyon will masterfully mold your filling for a comfortable bite and a beautiful smile.
Also known as indirect fillings, inlays and onlays are made of either a strong, tooth-colored resin material or porcelain, and are placed either in the grooves on the biting surface (cusp) of your tooth or over the top of one or more cusps. Inlays and onlays are designed to strengthen your tooth, and protect it from harmful damage or decay. This non-invasive procedure can also improve the color of your teeth for a comprehensive result. If combined with other restorative treatments, inlays and onlays can put a great finishing touch on your newly remade smile.
When plaque builds up along your gums, it can cause periodontal or gum disease. This disease, often caused by poor oral hygiene, can cause redness, swelling, and discomfort in your gums. If left untreated, periodontal disease can damage your gums and bone to the point of tooth loss, and can sometimes present a number of other health problems. To reduce your risk of tooth loss and regain your comfort, it is important to see Drs. Cicero and Kenyon at the first sign of gum disease. Regular checkups make it easier to detect gum disease, and proper at-home hygiene habits will keep plaque from building up. With a number of advanced periodontal treatments, C&K Dental Boutique can restore your oral health and help you to smile with confidence again. Periodontal disease can be treated at our dental boutique with a simple scaling and root planing procedure, in which we thoroughly clean down to the tooth roots and in between the gums and the teeth. At our office we also provide Arestin®, an antibiotic powder placed directly under the gumline into the periodontal “pocket” in order to fight the bacteria causing periodontal disease at the site and help reattachment of the gum to occur. In more advanced cases of periodontal disease surgery may be necessary.
